Awesome: Oregon Aims to Be First State to Map GMO Fields
June 20th, 2014
Afbeelding

After reading this article, you just may be willing to move to Oregon – the state that just keeps getting better and better. Residents in southern Oregon already voted compellingly to ban genetically modified crops just last month, and now the state plans to map out all GMO fields within its borders to help mitigate the damage of cross-pollination.

Farmers had already tried negotiating with Syngenta, a biotech giant who grows GMO sugar beets in the state for months to try to set up a system for online mapping of GMO fields, so that GMO and non-GMO could peacefully coexist, but since the company wouldn’t cooperate, Oregonians near Portland (Jackson County) decided to ban them altogether.

While the aim was to minimize cross-pollination in a few areas then, there has been new developments. Since last October, Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber directed the state’s Department of Agriculture to undertake something far more ambitious. They are now tasked with mapping the entire state for GMO fields so that buffer zones can be established for GE crops – hopefully until they are banned in the state and country completely.

Several occasions where genetically modified crops contaminated organic crops was partly the cause for Kitzhaber’s taking biotech to task. Genetic contamination can render crops meant to be sold as ‘organic’ as unsellable, especially on the export market, causing financial devastation to farmers who are trying to grow food sustainably. Not to mention the fact that the integrity of our organic crops is compromised, lending more of a hand to biotech rather than mother nature.

If the mapping plan works, Oregon will be the first state to successfully map fields, putting preventative measures into place to protect organic crops. While the method isn’t fool-proof, since you can’t create a buffer for wind or the flight of insects which pollinate crops, the buffer zones would minimize GE damage to non-GE crops.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Agriculture committee has suggested that farmers just work it out amongst themselves with friendly agreements, and an insurance system which pays for damages to non-GMO farmers resulting from GMO contamination; however, Monsanto has yet to be held liable for damaging crops, and has ensured it can’t be with its paid friends in our USDA, FDA, and other government positions.

It is time for other states to initiate moves such as Oregon’s. Just like the increasing development of marijuana, it seems that we can only rely on our communities and states to get any job done. GMO biotech must be stopped, even if done by playing against the ‘divide and conquer’ strategy set up for the states.

Australian Supreme Court Rules Against Organic Farmer in GMO Contamination Case
by Christina Sarich

June 24th, 2014
http://naturalsociety.com/australian-su ... tion-case/

The attempt to separate genetically modified (GM) foods and non-GM foods is almost impossible, and with more GMO crops than ever being sown, accounting for 79 percent of the worlds production, how does an organic farmer really stand a chance? With the latest blow from the Australian Supreme Court, it is obvious that the biotech bullies are getting their way. An organic farmer, Steve Marsh will receive no compensation for losing his organic certification resulting from a neighbor’s GE crops contaminating his own.

A ruling of the Supreme Court of Western Australia had no sympathy for Steve Marsh’s plight. He’s an Australian farmer that sought compensation when his neighbor, Michael Baxter’s GE canola crops contaminated his organic wheat field. Baxter plants Monsanto’s Roundup Ready canola seeds. Though Marsh suffered economic damage due to his decertification partly due to Australia’s zero-tolerance organic standards, the courts had no sympathy for Marsh, but sided with biotech and his GE planting neighbor.

The entire world awaited the decision of this case, as it is precedence setting for others who wished to hold biotech accountable for ruining organic fields. Both litigants argued before the court earlier this year, and supporters were hoping for some legal protection from the uncontrolled invasion of GM seed on non-GM lands.

Opponents claimed that, were the suit to be decided in favor of Marsh, it would put undue burden on GE farmers and could restrict the number of GE crops planted. Exactly! We all held our breaths for the possible ruling, but it looks like even in a country with impeccable organic standards, Monsanto and their ilk have corrupted the thinking minds of high courts again.

This means, once again, that Monsanto gets away with polluting the environment, destroying organic farms, and ruining organic farmers without even a slap on the wrist. The court ruled that no physical harm had been shown and the burden rested on the plaintiff to clean up the GE-mess to reinstate his certification.

What’s worse?

Farmers who don’t purchase GE seeds and find them on their land face potential litigation from the seed producers for patent infringement.

Though Monsanto assurances to not pursue patent infringement cases where trace amounts of its GE crops or seed were discovered, the results failed to achieve any meaningful protections, and obviously they weren’t worried, since 79% of the land is already ‘polluted’ with GMOs.

Ironically, even in the GMO-smacked U.S., the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) expects farmers to protect their own organic farms, with no currently allowable GE contamination thresholds.

This is Monsanto’s world, now. They bought it outright.

Campaign launched to halt synthetic biology food ingredients June 24, 2014
Afbeelding

Genetic engineering is evolving into a whole new monster with the recent introduction of synthetic biology, a new technology that involves inserting computer-generated DNA into genetically modified (GM) yeast for the purpose of fermenting synthetic ingredients. But a coalition of environmental and food safety advocacy groups is hoping to put a stop to this latest abomination, which is expected to be quietly hidden in the food supply and labeled as "natural."

A recent announcement by Friends of the Earth (FOE) explains that the first "SynBio" ingredient to be released commercially is one that mimics vanillin, the active flavor compound found in natural vanilla. A Swiss company known as Evolva, in partnership with International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF), has developed a way to produce artificial vanillin using the brave new process, which has never been tested for safety.

By combining GM yeast with man-made DNA, scientists have come up with a way to manufacture synthetic vanillin-like flavoring in a lab, producing a substance that mimics the real thing. It is biotechnology on steroids, in essence, and multinational corporations plan to market the end product as "natural" while hiding it in food without proper, honest labeling.

"Synthetic biology vanillin is made with a new synthetic genetic code inserted into yeast," explains FOE about the process. "Using a computer, scientists edit the DNA in yeast and insert the computer generated DNA, and then through a fermentation process, force the yeast to biosynthesize vanillin."

SynBio vanillin threatens last remaining rainforests

Like GMOs, synthetic biology is currently unregulated. Independent studies looking at how it affects humans and the environment are non-existent. And yet SynBio vanillin is expected to hit the global market in the very near future, with the potential to turn up in cake frosting, ice cream, baked goods and other food items that often contain vanilla flavoring.

In addition to the fact that it is untested, SynBio vanillin also threatens to undo many generations of natural vanilla cultivation worldwide. Indigenous farmers who currently grow vanilla in harmony with rainforest ecosystems in Africa, South America and elsewhere will be hit hard by the release of SynBio vanillin, which requires intensive sugar cultivation to feed the yeast strains that produce it.

"The immense amount of sugar required for efficient vanillin synthesis encourages monocultures of fast-growing sugars instead of the rich biodiversity of the tropical ecosystems which are host to the vanilla orchid," explains FOE. "Without the natural vanilla market adding economic value to the rainforest in these regions, these last standing rainforests will not be protected from deforestation and sugar cane used to feed the yeast will replace the forests."

If it is allowed to enter the food supply as "natural" without any indication of its biotech origins, SynBio could also cause a major public health crisis. The long-term health consequences of existing GMOs are only just now hitting the mainstream, and the secret addition of SynBio vanillin and other ingredients into the food supply will most likely make the situation even worse.

"It is unclear if synthetic biology vanillin is safe to eat, or what impacts if the synthetic organisms may have upon were interact with natural organisms or ecosystems," says FOE. "Without precautionary testing and regulations that are specific to synthetic biology and which recognize it is as a unique and complex technology, we may not find emergent health threats until it is too late."

DNA from GMOs can pass directly into humans, study confirms
june 24, 2014

Afbeelding
he idea that DNA from genetically modified organisms (GMOs) is broken down in the digestive tract and rendered innocuous, a common industry claim, is patently false. A recent study published in the scientific journal PLOS ONE found that large, meal-derived DNA fragments from GMOs are fully capable of transferring their genes directly into the bloodstream, deconstructing the myth that transgenic foods act on the body in the same way as natural foods.

A combined analysis of four other independent studies involving more than 1,000 human samples and a team of researchers from universities in Hungary, Denmark and the U.S. looked at the assimilation process for GMOs as they are currently consumed throughout the world. This includes derivatives of GM crops such as high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) from GM corn, for instance, and soy protein from GM soybeans, as well as meat derived from animals fed a GM-based diet.

After looking at the data on how the human body processes these and other forms of GMOs, the team discovered that DNA from GMOs is not completely broken down by the body during the digestion process. What would normally be degraded into smaller constituents like amino acids and nucleic acids was found to remain whole. Not only this, but these larger DNA fragments were found to pass directly into the circulatory system, sometimes at a level higher than actual human DNA.

"ased on the analysis of over 1000 human samples from four independent studies, we report evidence that meal-derived DNA fragments which are large enough to carry complete genes can avoid degradation and through an unknown mechanism enter the human circulation system," explained the authors in their study abstract.

"In one of the blood samples the relative concentration of plant DNA is higher than the human DNA."

Genes from GMOs transfer into small intestine, alter composition of beneficial bacteria

This is an astounding discovery that proves false claims made by Monsanto and others that GMOs are no different from non-GMOs as far as the body is concerned. Monsanto even claims on its "Food Safety" page for GMOs that the DNA from GMOs is "extensively digested" and "present no hazards," both of which have now been shown to be lies.

Based on this latest analysis of how food genes are transferred from the digestive tract into the bloodstream, it is now apparent that the genes of GMOs pass into the bloodstream whole. Their presence is also associated with major inflammatory conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, adenoma and colorectal cancer.

The presence of transgenic genes in the small intestine was also found to affect the composition of beneficial bacteria, which are responsible for protecting the gut against foreign invaders and helping the body absorb nutrients from food. Individuals with ileostomies, or perforations in their abdominal walls as a result of surgery, were found to literally be harboring full DNA sequences from GMOs in their intestinal tracts.

None of this is really all that surprising, of course, as the biological activities behind how GMOs are processed by the human body have never been legitimately studied. Biotechnology companies have always just claimed that GMOs are the same as real food, without any evidence to back this up, and this has been enough for the government to keep them on the market for nearly 20 years.

"One small mutation in a human being can determine so much, the point is when you move a gene, one gene, one tiny gene out of an organism into a different one you completely change its context," said David Suzuki, co-founder of the David Suzuki Foundation. "There is no way to predict how it's going to behave and what the outcome will be."

Monsanto Tries to Patent & Control Natural, Non-GMO Tomatoes
June 25th, 2014
Afbeelding

In an appalling attempt to patent yet another seed, Monsanto has resorted to fraud to try to gain rights to a tomato which contains a naturally occurring resistance to a fungal disease called botrytis. The tomato is not genetically modified, but Monsanto manipulated documents to make the plant look ‘invented’ by biotech when the plant’s true maker is Mother Nature, herself.
http://sustainablepulse.com/2014/06/02/ ... -tomatoes/

Representatives of No Patents on Seeds! http://www.no-patents-on-seeds.org/en/i ... t-tomatoes have called attention to this shady play of the biotech industry to try to outrun their failing genetic experiments. The original tomatoes used for this patent came from the international gene bank in Gatersleben, Germany, and they have shown this resistance for ages, well before biotech started monkeying with our food supply.
""Because crossing tomatoes is not patentable, Monsanto deliberately rephrased the patent during the period of examination to make it appear as if genetic engineering was involved. However, careful reading of the patent shows that this is simply fraudulent. These tomatoes were not produced by transferring isolated DNA. The European Patent Office should have picked up on this,” says Christoph Then for No Patents on Seeds!. “This patent shows just how easy it is for companies like Monsanto to avoid existing prohibitions in patent law.""

Current patent law states that “essentially biological processes for the production of plants and animals” are excluded from patentability.

Read: Organic Tomatoes Contain more Nutrients than Conventional
http://naturalsociety.com/organic-tomat ... ventional/

Many plants have a natural resistance to disease. For example, ‘super cukes’ http://www.motherearthnews.com/organic- ... z34RsEUpk6 are an heirloom variety of cucumber that are naturally tolerant to anthracnose,http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/top ... nthracnose powdery and downy mildew, angular leaf spot, and scab. Should Monsanto get to patent those too?

Similarly (almost), biotech would like you to believe that their new purple GMO tomato http://naturalsociety.com/scientists-re ... mo-tomato/ is some kind of ‘cure’ all for cancer (even though several, non-patented natural plants already do this job) even though nothing of the sort has been proven. What’s worse, the scientific community is recruiting sick individuals to test their new poison food.

Organic gardeners are well versed in picking plants that are naturally resistant to pests and even weather in their location. They also use companion planting and organic pesticides to avoid the use of harsh, carcinogenic chemicals like RoundUp. If Monsanto thinks it can patent farming practices that go back 10,000 years, then something is absurdly wrong with our legislative system.

Bad News for Monsanto – Seralini GMO Study Gets New Light
26th June 2014
Afbeelding

Monsanto has just kicked itself in the mouth. Soon, we hope, it will have no teeth with which to chew its toxic products!

The now famous “Seralini study”,http://www.gmoseralini.org/wp-content/u ... .9.121.pdf as it is commonly referred to, which drew massive attention worldwide for its depiction of horrific tumors in rats fed Monsanto’s GMO corn, has become even more famous. And it packs an even stronger punch than before. Why? Because this study, which was retracted from the scientific literature, has been determined to have been wrongfully retracted.http://www.elsevier.com/about/press-rel ... toxicology

The Seralini study was withdrawn from the peer–reviewed literature of the scientific community last year under heavy pressure from pro-biotech factions. The retraction of this peer-reviewed study created an outrage among scientists worldwide, as well as concerned people everywhere. Now, the finding of the Seralini study, while powerful upon its first release to the public, has been reinstated after further intense peer review which determined the study to be valid and accurate.

This verdict has been the hope of millions who have serious reservations about GMO products (a.k.a. the rest of sane humanity). This extra examination will bolster the Seralini study to new status and prominence, strengthening the evidence of GMO and RoundUp harm. It is fantastic news for all of us who are concerned and outraged by the toxic and wanton proliferation of GMO foodstuffs (let’s not call it food, please) worldwide.

And for good reason. The Steralini study was the longest and most comprehensive study of the effects of GMO corn and its toxic side-kick RoundUp undertaken. It was certainly longer than the shabby three-month trials that Monsanto and friends get away with in order to “prove” the safety of their frankenfoods, which they are now allowed to conduct of their own recognizance. According to the Organic Consumer’s Association: http://www.organicconsumers.org/article ... _27143.cfm

Genetically engineered (GE) foods have never been safety tested by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), thanks to a 20-year-old policy that says it’s up to the biotech companies to determine the safety of genetically engineered (GE) foods. So while all other developed countries require safety testing for GE plants, the government agency in charge of protecting U.S. citizens lets biotech companies, who stand to make billions in profits from GE foods, conduct their own “voluntary safety consultations”.

According to the Seralini website, the study… http://www.gmoseralini.org/criticism-se ... n-from-it/

… found severe liver and kidney damage and hormonal disturbances in rats fed the GM maize and low levels of Roundup that are below those permitted in drinking water in the EU. Toxic effects were found from the GM maize tested alone, as well as from Roundup tested alone and together with the maize. Additional unexpected findings were higher rates of large tumors and mortality in most treatment groups.

Criticism of the Seralini study has been rebutted by many,http://www.gmoseralini.org/seralini-ret ... rofessors/ including the Seralini group itself. Much of the criticism hinged on a distortion (or more unlikely, plain ignorance) of the objectives of the study, which was a toxicological study of both the Franken-corn and Round-Up, the herbicide ubiquitously used on the corn. The study was criticized as a poorly designed cancer study, but it was never intended as a cancer study. According to the GMOSeralini website:

The critics say that Séralini used too few rats of a strain prone to tumours, so the tumours seen may have occurred spontaneously and no conclusions can be drawn. But Séralini’s study was a chronic toxicity study, not a carcinogenicity study. The increase in tumour incidence was a surprise outcome. The logical response to the findings is not to dismiss them but to follow up with a full-scale carcinogenicity study on GM NK603 maize and Roundup.

Here as some comments by other scientists (two anonymous, likely to protect their welfare):

“Few studies would survive such intensive scrutiny by fellow scientists. The republication of the study after three expert reviews is a testament to its rigour, as well as to the integrity of the researchers.” — Dr Michael Antoniou

“If anyone still doubts the quality of this study, they should simply read the republished paper. The science speaks for itself.”

“This study has arguably prevailed through the most comprehensive and independent review process to which any scientific study on GMOs has ever been subjected.”

No doubt, the biotech talking heads, who wobble but never seem to fall down, will come back to try to refute this validity of this re-publication. Let them. The science now shouts for itself And there will be more…until one day, we do away with these pests once and for all.

Next time you are in a debate with a pro-GMO shill or a GMO advocate, share with them this good news!

It’s well-known that a broken bone that heals becomes stronger than prior to its breaking. Apparently the same holds true in the world of broken science as well. Long-live the now stronger Seralini study and its encouragement for even further GMO testing!

If you have not joined, please join us here at GEM (GMO Eradication Movement). And please consider giving to help brave state of Vermont fight Monsanto, who has sued the state for passing a GMO labeling law.

We will prevail. Aho!

Monsanto, which describes itself as "A Sustainable Agriculture Company," is a massive multinational corporation well known for deleterious practices like suing small farmers when Monsanto seeds have blown into their crops, using "suicide seeds" (also referred to as terminator technology, these are seeds that have been genetically-engineered so that when the crops are harvested, all of the new seeds produced from these crops are sterile, which then forces farmers to buy seeds annually from Monsanto in order to continue growing their crops)and altering the genetic structure of natural organisms and then patenting these seeds.

BAYER Steps Up Deadly GMO Arms Race
13-7-2014
Afbeelding

Spread some KEYCODE BAYER 588 on your “I wonder bread” freaks! ( pukes …MPC )

BAYER is launching GM Soy

Usage of toxic pesticides continues to increase / “high meat consumption contributes to pesticide poisoning”

Bayer CropScience has launched a new soy product range. The corporation has started selling glyphosate and glufosinate resistant GMO soy seed under the brand name Credenz. Other varieties which have added resistance against so called HPPD herbicides are to follow at a later date.

Dirk Zimmermann of Greenpeace criticised the launch, saying “after the failure of glyphosate tolerant plants BAYER is now ramping up pesticide production. Having joined the arms race of global GM soy cultivation, the corporation has outed itself as an irresponsible war profiteer. The introduction of further GMO plants with a host of new herbicide resistances has unmasked the whole concept as a one way street serving only as a vehicle to sell more and more toxic agrochemicals.”

Forests, fallow land and small-scale farms in South America have been displaced by massive soy plantations. The crop is not used to feed the local population but instead is largely exported to Europe and the USA, due to the huge demand by the meat industry. On the other hand, production of staple foods is being undermined by the soy boom.

Philipp Mimkes of the Coalition against BAYER Dangers (CBG) said: “High meat consumption is causing major ecological and health damage in South America. We demand a conversion to ecological farming, even if this leads to a decrease in meat production. Toxic herbicides such as glyphosate and glufosinate must be banned!”. Glyphosate and glufosinate are sold in combination with genetically modified seed, particularly soy and maize. Since the seed market is controlled by just a handful of corporations, many farmers are only able to buy GMO seed.

Glyphosate (“Roundup”), developed by Monsanto, is the top-selling agrotoxin worldwide. As the patent has expired, the active ingredient is now also sold by Bayer and other companies. Glyphosate is suspected of causing birth defects, damaging the DNA and promoting diseases including Alzheimer’s, diabetes and cancer.

Glufosinate is even more toxic. A European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) evaluation states that the substance poses a high risk to mammals. Glufosinate is classified as reprotoxic, with laboratory experiments causing premature birth, intra-uterine death and abortions in rats. That is why the substance must be withdrawn from sale in the EU by 2017 at the latest. This has not prevented BAYER from announcing in May 2013 that it would build a huge new glufosinate factory in the USA. In this way the corporation seeks to close the gap caused by the increasing inefficacy of glyphosate against weeds.

GM crops do not solve the hunger problem, contrary to the claims repeatedly made by lobbyists. About 80 percent of GM crops are used as animal feed. GM crops are neither drought-resistant nor more high-yielding. Their cultivation on ever larger areas is pushing back the production of food crops, making it more difficult to feed local populations.

GMO Bananas to Boost Vitamin A Arrive for First Test in Iowa
13-7-2014
Afbeelding
Human trials for the GMO banana have begun in Iowa. Volunteers are offering up their blood samples after eating bits of banana tinged with orange, receiving $900 for their subjection to the latest biotech concoction.

This is the first human trial in the US on a genetically engineered banana that has been altered to contain higher levels of beta carotene,http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/2014/0 ... st-in-iowa which our bodies then convert to Vitamin A. This is the second food that biotech has tried to engineer to boost Vitamin A levels, since they are low in developing countries, and the cause of serious disease of malnutrition.

The first food was Golden Rice, http://www.i-sis.org.uk/rice.php which was a failure. Golden Rice was developed by applying for over 70 different patents, but it did not provide a solution to third world countries looking for better nutrition, who rely heavily upon rice as a staple food. Why scientists aren’t just giving developing countries Vitamin A supplements, which are much cheaper to administer, and don’t require patents, is anyone’s guess.

Researchers conducting GMO banana trials in the US want to be sure that the fruit does lead to higher Vitamin A levels in the volunteers’ blood, but are they testing for any of the other ailments that GMOs have caused, like leaky gut syndrome, cancer, or reproductive failure?

Iowans who participate in these first trials are playing their part in a story which may unfold around the globe. The GMO bananas were created by a researcher at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, with funding from the Bill and Melinda gates Foundation. Interestingly, the Gates Foundation has also donated heavily to NPR, which is partly responsible for the public relations campaign to try to get support for GMO bananas.http://naturalsociety.com/gates-foundat ... xperiment/If trials go well in Iowa, and other US states, they are headed to Uganda, where they are meant to ‘treat’ people with Vitamin A deficiency. Bananas are part of the staple diet in this and other developing countries.

The researcher conducting trials at Iowa State University is reluctant to discuss the details. She wrote to NPR, if I talk about what we are doing, it “could preclude me from publishing our findings in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.”

A specialist on nutrition at the International Food Policy Research Institute says that even if a real-world African village starts eating GMO bananas, that impact, “is a very hard thing to measure.”

You can be sure that when the trials pass – because we all know they are already essentially predetermined due to our regulatory agencies being bought out by biotech, that biotech interests will go from village to village, promoting these GMO bananas in Africa without really knowing the long-term ramifications of feeding people genetically altered food.

Biotech genocide, Monsanto collaborators and the Nazi legacy of 'science' as justification for murder
21-7-2014
Afbeelding
Monsanto is widely recognize as the most hated and most evil corporation on the planet. Even so, several internet-based media websites are now marching to Monsanto's orders, promoting GMOs and pursuing defamatory character assassination tactics against anyone who opposes GMOs, hoping to silence their important voices.

These Monsanto collaborator sites tend to be "leftist" publications but also include at least one prominent business and finance publisher on the political right. All of them are Monsanto collaborators who have signed on to accelerate heinous crimes being committed against humanity under the false promise of "feeding the world" with toxic GMOs.

Monsanto is called the IG Farben of modern world http://www.naturalnews.com/045939_ig_fa ... ar_ii.htmlbecause its actions reflect the kind of crimes against humanity that remind me of those pursued by IG Farben, the chemical conglomerate run by Nazi collaborators during the Adolf Hitler regime. IG Farben used Jewish prisoners as human guinea pigs in horrific medical experiments, and the company pioneered so-called "science-based breakthroughs" for the development of psychiatric drugs, chemical pesticides, chemotherapy agents and gas chamber death chemicals like Zyklon B.

The entire Nazi regime, by the way, was based on invoking "science" as its justifying foundation. The killing of Jews was based in "science," as was Hitler's desire to use genocide to "cleanse the human race" by killing off those he saw as "genetically inferior." Science was the buzzword of the Nazi regime, and it was used to justify almost every crime carried out by the Nazi regime.
Afbeelding
Anyone who resisted the Nazi regime was condemned as "anti-science" in precisely the same way that anyone who now questions the wisdom of unleashing genetically modified seeds into the open environment is also called "anti-science." But questioning science is not "anti" science at all -- it is an inherent part of the scientific process. That's a fact that the biotech industry has conveniently forgotten. Their stance today is that no one can ever question the "science" of GMOs, period.

Thus, GMOs aren't based in science at all. They are the domain of a radical cult where questions are not allowed and critical thinking is condemned and censored.

Nazi collaborators

"Nazi collaborators" were individuals and corporations that promoted the power and reach of the Nazi party, publishing pro-Nazi propaganda and attacking anyone who criticized Adolf Hitler or the Nazi regime. Collaborators included many scientists, academics, publishers and of course politicians, all of whom played key roles in furthering the genocide that saw over six million Jews heartlessly slaughtered by the Nazi regime.

Today, a number of once-independent media sites are selling out to corporate interests and quickly becoming Monsanto collaborators. This is readily apparent by noticing which media sites attack Dr. Mercola, the Food Babe, Jeffrey Smith, the Health Ranger or anyone else fighting against the scourge of GMO genocide against humanity. These attacks all have one thing in common: they are orchestrated by paid biotech muckrakers -- people I call "Monsanto collaborators."

Parallels to the Nazi regime are numerous. GMOs, after all, are genetically engineered to either grow poison in the plant or to resist deadly poisons sprayed on the crops. In both cases, GMOs expose the public to toxic, cancer-causing chemicals that kill people just as effectively (although not as quickly) as Zyklon B. The Nazi Regime was also steeped in the use of deadly chemicals to accomplish its goals, and just like the biotech industry, the Nazis weren't afraid to use human subjects as guinea pigs in large-scale medical experiments. (The U.S. government also continued this tradition under the National Institutes of Health, orchestrating inhumane medical experiments on prisoners in Guatemala.)http://www.naturalnews.com/033483_Guate ... ments.html

Here's what GMO chemicals did to rats in the Seralini study, the study that the biotech industry desperately sought to have retracted and buried:

Both Nazis and Monsanto also believe that the power to control human destiny should be concentrated in the hands of a very small number of people who dictate terms to everyone else. In a world where every agricultural crop is based on a patented seed controlled by a greed-driven corporation, humans can never truly be free. This was also the aim of the Nazi regime, which sought to command all "human resources" in a mandatory push to build Adolf Hitler's utopian society.

That utopian society sounds a whole lot like the "feed the world" mantra spouted by Monsanto collaborators today, all of whom remain utterly blind to the mass genocide they are promoting.

Seventy years ago, people who run these propaganda websites that obey Monsanto would have been Hitler's propaganda ministers, publishing "scientific" articles on the science of eugenics and genocide, and praising Hitler's "amazing vision" for global peace and prosperity.

This is almost exactly the same message, after all, that Monsanto is now fronting: The world will starve to death if we don't all surrender our seeds, farmlands and food supply to this corporate empire, we're told. "Science" will save humanity by concentrating total control of food resources into the hands of the few. Meanwhile, all who oppose Monsanto are vilified as anti-science quacks while all who buy in to the Monsanto genocide are praised as being "scientific" (even though they are nothing more than paid propaganda hacks).

German nation celebrates those who tried to assassinate Hitler

Interestingly, just yesterday German President Joachim Gauck celebrated the lives of those brave Nazi officers who attempted to assassinate Adolf Hitler in 1944. (1) Their attempted Wolf's Lair bombing failed, but it was an honorable attempt to rid the world of tremendous evil by killing one of the people responsible for it.

This official ceremony sends a message to the world, and that official message from the nation of Germany to the rest of the world says that it is the moral right -- and even the obligation -- of human beings everywhere to actively plan and carry out the killing of those engaged in heinous crimes against humanity.
This fundamental philosophical truth is now enshrined in history by the highest office of the nation of Germany herself, the very nation where mass government propaganda spearheaded by a highly-charismatic political leader drove the population to commit genocide in the name of "peace."

Today, Monsanto collaborators -- publishers, journalists and scientists -- have signed on to the Nazi genocide machine of our day: the biotechnology industry and its evil desire to dominate the world's food supply and blanket the planet with deadly chemicals that have been scientifically shown to cause horrific cancer tumors. They use many of the same tactics as the Nazi regime, too: intimidation, character assassination, threats and fabricated disinformation. Hitler's Ministry of Propaganda, it turns out, is alive and well today in America. Its headquarters is not in Berlin but St. Louis.

Humanity must record and remember those who collaborated with the enemy

Just as history needed to record the names and deeds of Nazi war criminals, so too must all those collaborators who are promoting the death and destruction caused by GMOs be named for the historical record. The true extent of their collaboration with an anti-human regime will all become readily apparent once the GMO delusion collapses and mass global starvation becomes an inescapable reality.

I'm hoping someone will create a website listing all the publishers, scientists and journalists who are now Monsanto propaganda collaborators. I have no doubt such a website would be wildly popular and receive a huge influx of visitors, and it would help preserve the historical record of exactly which people contributed to the mass starvation and death which will inevitably be unleashed by GMO agriculture (which is already causing mass suicides in India and crop failures worldwide).

The crime of today's biotech experiments on humanity must never be forgotten, nor must we ever forget the deplorable tactics used by the industry against anti-GMO activists and scientists. Remember: the biotech propaganda machine not only engages in mafia-style intimidation tactics and character assassination attempts, it also systematically intimidates scientists and uses heavy-handed techniques to heavily censor science journals to make sure they don't publish any science highlighting the harm caused by GMOs.

The now-famous Seralini study, for example, was subjected to an extreme, criminal-minded censorship agenda organized by the biotech industry. This scientific censorship was so underhanded and intellectually dishonest that the retraction of the study by the Food and Chemical Toxicology journal stands as one of the most shameful events ever witnessed in the history of western science.http://www.naturalnews.com/044555_seral ... grity.html In fact, it all but admitted that corporate-influenced western science is an absolute fraud, where corporations now control the science journals.

Read this extraordinary account, "The price of truth," http://www.gmoseralini.org/the-price-of-truth/ to learn the real truth about the extraordinary personal and professional cost of conducting honest science on GMOs in a world dominated by Monsanto collaborators.

To learn more, watch this interview between Dr. Joseph Mercola and Dr. Judy Carman, covering the dangers of GMOs:

Bribery, blackmail and sex traps

As you listen to this interview, keep in mind that nearly every defamation attack leveled against Dr. Mercola is entirely due to his whistle-blowing on the issue of GMOs. Although attacks on Dr. Mercola, or Jeffrey Smith or others may appear to be based on other topics, they are all orchestrated by the biotech industry in an effort to smear individuals who can't be bought off.
When scientists or journalists can be bought off, they accept "consulting fees" or "donations" to their non-profits, and then suddenly the publication they run starts churning out stories that attack anti-GMO activists. We're seeing an escalation of such activities as the biotech industry reaches a state of desperation, knowing they will ultimately lose the war over mandatory GMO labeling because a tipping point of GMO awareness has now been reached.

Furthermore, the argument that GMOs should never be labeled is an empty one. In a society where foods are required to be labeled if they are "processed in a facility that also processes nuts," it's obvious that GMO labeling makes instant sense. Only the GMO industry wants to force consumers to keep accidentally purchasing their products while hiding that fact from consumers for as long as possible. It's shameful, and every food company that has funded opposition against GMO labeling state laws should be permanently boycotted.

As the Organic Consumers Association points out, http://www.organicconsumers.org/bytes/ob343.htm these traitorous brands -- more "Monsanto collaborators" -- include Kellogg's (Kashi, Bear Naked, Morningstar Farms); General Mills (Muir Glen, Cascadian Farm, Larabar); Dean Foods (Horizon, Silk, White Wave); Smucker's (R.W. Knudsen, Santa Cruz Organic); Coca-Cola (Honest Tea, Odwalla); Safeway (“O” Organics); Kraft (Boca Burgers and Back to Nature); Con-Agra (Orville Redenbacher's Organic, Hunt's Organic, Lightlife); and PepsiCo (Naked Juice, Tostito's Organic, Tropicana Organic)

Out of this desperation of knowing they are losing, the biotech industry bribes media outlets (or threatens them) to try to "persuade" them to switch sides to a pro-GMO bias. This is exactly what happened to an "alternative" media website that's now run by an editor who routinely attacks nutritional supplements, alternative medicine and GMO labeling advocates. (The site is losing readers by the hour, however, as readers see right through the propaganda.)

I've also seen this happen to a prominent environmental news website that now publishes hit pieces on anti-GMO activists. As we see time and time again, these editors were either bought off or threatened with blackmail using sex sting operations (or something else equally embarrassing). And when they can't find real dirt on anti-GMO activists, they simply invent whatever they want to write and publish that.

Cash and blackmail -- sometimes both -- are the tools used by the biotech industry to sway public opinion. Sex traps are routinely attempted against outspoken anti-GMO activists in an effort to create photographic or video evidence which can be used to blackmail them. I personally know of one person in the alternative news industry who was nearly caught in a prostitute sex trap sting, and efforts are constantly under way to undermine the credibility of independent media personalities who can't be fired, censored or otherwise silenced.

It is no exaggeration to say that the biotech mafia is the most evil, most dangerous and most criminally-orchestrated group in America day, surpassing even the tactics of urban drug gangs and Wall Street investment bankers. But just like the Nazi regime, the biotech regime will also fall and I see a day when Monsanto collaborators are tracked down, arrested and tried for their crimes against humanity in a court of law. For the record, in no way do I condone vigilante violence against anyone, and I believe every condemned criminal deserves a fair trial and a punishment that fits the crime. Do not misinterpret this article as any sort of call for violence, as I wholly disavow any such actions. I am a person who demands due process under the law for all those accused of crimes.

But what is the appropriate punishment for the criminal act of unleashing genetic pollution across our planet, contributing to mass crop failures, collapsing indigenous seed diversity, instigating widespread human starvation, suppressing scientific knowledge and dousing the world's farmlands with the toxic chemical glyphosate? How do you even decide on a punishment that can fit the scale and magnitude of such a collection of crimes?

Tracking down Nazi war criminals
That's why it is so important right now to document all the Monsanto collaborators and make sure they are held accountable for their actions. "Operation Last Chance" is a group dedicated to hunting down escaped Nazi war criminals, hoping to bring them to trial before they die. (2) The group uses tactics like posting photos of the war criminals and offering rewards for information leading to their capture.

One day in the not-too-distant future, I predict a similar tactic will likely be used to hunt down and arrest Monsanto collaborators: the scientists, journalists, politicians, food companies and other enablers who helped this corporation commit the mass murder against humanity that I believe has already begun. Many will attempt to flee, hide from authorities, change their names or otherwise escape responsibility for their crimes against humanity, but teams of "Monsanto collaborator hunters" will likely be offered financial rewards for bringing these individuals to justice. Maybe someone will launch a Kickstarter project called "Operation roundup."

For this reason, all Monsanto collaborators need to be documented now, with their names, photos, public statements and other details that might someday make tracking them down easier. (You can rest assured, by the way, that the biotech industry has already fully documented all anti-GMO activists.) Such a project is outside the scope of Natural News, of course, but this is the perfect project for an activist group that knows how to operate anonymously (for their own protection). The project should also involve printing hard copies so that the evidence survives a catastrophic failure of the power grid and internet infrastructure.

If anyone out there takes on such a project, please alert Natural News so that we can report on this newsworthy event. And if you do pursue such a project, for your own sake stay 100% anonymous with your web hosting and contact details or you will be putting your very life in danger. It has already been made clear to me that the biotech industry will stop at absolutely nothing to intimidate or silence its opposition.

Celebrate those independent media outlets that stand firm for Team Humanity while facing down tremendous evil

As all this is taking place, it's important to remember all the independent media sites that have held their ground in the face of tremendous evil. Quite a collection of independent media websites continue to broadcast the truth about GMOs, and it is the voices of these sites that will ultimately lead humanity to victory against evil and destruction.

In fact, these independent media sites are springing up faster than the biotech industry can possibly keep up with. Team Humanity won't settle for scientific censorship and corporate junk science, it turns out. People are hungry for the truth, and publishers that tell the truth are finding tremendous financial support from the huge influx of traffic coming from people who are tired of being lied to by the mainstream media. In fact, the traffic for nearly every website mentioned below is absolutely exploding right now as the public turns off CNN and tunes into truth-telling:

http://www.Mercola.com
http://www.OrganicConsumers.org
http://www.GreenMedInfo.com
http://www.TruthStreamMedia.com
http://jonrappoport.wordpress.com
http://www.InfoWars.com
http://www.ResponsibleTechnology.org
http://www.TheLibertyMill.com
... and many more.
Please join me in supporting these websites and all those that report the truth about GMOs. I'm sure there are more websites which deserve to be added to this list, and I apologize if I've left any off that are deserving of a mention.

Join the fight for humanity

We are on the path to victory for Team Humanity. We cannot be bought off, we cannot be silenced and we refuse to be intimidated.

I welcome every hit piece in the world that wants to bring Natural News more publicity, because we will turn those visitors onto the truth about GMOs, mercury in vaccines, the dangers of psychiatric drugs and the criminal fraud of Big Pharma (among other topics). The only way the mainstream media hurts Natural News is if they ignore us. And they won't do that because our truth-telling infuriates their corporate sponsors. Every attempt to attack Natural News so far has only resulted in a rapid expansion of our reader base and a sharp increase in our email subscription list.

No matter what the mainstream media does, with the help of our millions of readers and fans, we will continue to expand our reach day after day, reaching all those new millions of people who are tired of being lied to and poisoned and who thirst for the kind of truth they can only find at independent media sites like Natural News.

Thank you for your continued support, and thank you for believing in our mission to report the truth no matter who tries to threaten us into silence.

Monsanto Ordered to Pay $93 Million to Small Town for Poisoning Citizens
july 25th, 2014
Afbeelding

Big wins can happen in small places. The West Virginia State Supreme Court finalized a big blow to the biotech giant Monsanto this month, finishing a settlement causing Monsanto to pay $93 million to the tiny town of Nitro, West Virginia for poisoning citizens with Agent Orange chemicals.
The settlement was approved last year, but details were worked out only weeks ago as to how the funds were to be spent.

The settlement http://rt.com/usa/171312-monsanto-nitro ... nt-office/ will require Monsanto to do the following:
$9 million will be spent to clean dioxin contaminated dust from 4500 homes.

$21 million will be spent to test to see if people have been poisoned with dioxin.

Citizens will be monitored for such poisoning for 30 years, not just a few months.

An additional $63 million is to be allotted if additional tests for dioxin contamination testing is necessary.

Anyone who lived in the Nitro area between Jan. 1, 1948, and Sept. 3, 2010 will be tested for dioxin. Although they must show proof they lived in the area, they will be eligible for testing even if they no longer live in Nitro.

Former or present employees of Monsanto are not eligible for any of these benefits.

An office will be set up to organize testing for Nitro citizens. The registration of participants is to be overlooked by Charleston attorney Thomas Flaherty, who was appointed by the court.

Residents have a right to file individual suits against Monsanto if medical tests show they suffered physical harm due to dioxin exposure.

Monsanto Produced Toxic Chemicals in Nitro

Just how were Nitro citizens exposed to dioxin? Monsanto was producing the toxic herbicide Agent Orange in Nitro, and dioxin is a chemical byproduct of the substance. It is known to cause serious health conditionshttp://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs225/en/
The factory which produced Agent Orange was opened in Nitro in 1948 and remained in operation until 2004, even though usage of this herbicide in the past (in Vietnam and other Asian countries) was fatal to millions of citizens and the war veterans who were exposed to it.

“There is no doubt that during and after the war, many Vietnamese absorbed this very toxic material [dioxin]. It is our belief from toxicological research and epidemiologicalstudies from many countries that this dioxin probably resulted in significant health effects in Vietnam.” – Arnold Schecter and John Constable
http://ije.oxfordjournals.org/content/35/5/1230.full

“It’s been a real long haul,” attorney Stuart Calwell told The Charleston Gazette. Calwell represented Nitro area residents in a class action suit that prompted Monsanto to make the settlement.

“The politics of dioxin has been bitterly debated since the Vietnam War, but … we know that there is a health issue there and hopefully people will get their houses cleaned and the risk will come to an end and those exposed in the past will have the benefit of keeping an eye on their health.”

The people of Nitro still need to fill out a register to receive the benefits outlined in the settlement. Due to the pivotal nature of this landmark settlement, Nitro citizens need to participate as fully as possible to set a precedent for other class action suits that farmers and consumers of GMO foods around the world might wage against Monsanto in the future to finally take them down. If enough of us do it at once, then even their bloated coffers will finally be depleted, and we can enjoy a world without being poisoned to death.

While this case did not involve glyphosatehttp://naturalsociety.com/still-eating-agent-orange/ another deadly toxin used in Monsanto herbicides such as RoundUp, its time will come soon.

Small Farmers Create New Label to Protest Corporate Control of Organics
Afbeelding

Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) is an Eco-label for small farmers that grow using Organic methods but have chosen NOT to become USDA certified Organic. Why?

What is great is that many people are starting to realize that organic food is the future! There are more and more farmers switching to organic farming and producing amazing healthy foods but are unable to use the organic label. This is because there are many farmers who don’t have the means to pay the fees required of the USDA to obtain an organic label then there are others who choose to protest the federal takeover of the organic program and want to make sure the standards are kept high. There are others who do not want to deal with the highly demanding amount of paperwork the USDA insists upon organic farms. Certified Naturally Grown, Inc, was founded by Kate & Ron Khosla who operated a community supported farm in New Paltz, New York. They along with many other smaller, local farms wanted to keep the integrity of organic and to keep the federal government and big corporate interests at arms length, so they started the ‘Certified Naturally Grown’ certification program, it has continued to grow and grow across the country and is now a national program. It is a great movement considering the recent reports of government power grabs that threaten to undermine the standards of organic food.

Justifiably, there are many health and quality-conscious consumers out there that are wary of companies that claim their products are “natural”. There have been many lawsuits against companies such as Pepsi and Kashi (the list goes on) for including GMOs in products with natural labels. It is an outrage that because of these companies using false labeling the smaller farmers are being overlooked but it is these people who often use techniques that are as good or even better than USDA organic standards but cannot afford to get them labeled. You can find these people at farmer’s markets selling produce which they describe as “pesticide-free” or created “with no spray” or “without chemicals.” It is also possible that many of them could also have much higher quality than large-scale organic farms and can even rely on unique techniques like adding more organic, plant-digested minerals to the soil rather than using fertilizers in some cases. Of course many of these farms could become certified but the costs are often far higher than they would like or can pay, also many of them basically do not want the U.S. government involved in the organic program because of the pressure it often faces from the Big Ag and the Biotech/GMO industry. This is why several small farmers and growers got together to create a new label: Certified Naturally Grown, which is governed exclusively by them without the need of government interference. The “Certified Naturally Grown” label has expanded and is used across the United States in an approach called a “Participatory Guarantee System.” According to the certification program’s website the system is being used by tens of thousands of organic farms worldwide. The website says that this system minimizes paperwork and uses a peer to peer inspection process which is built on local networks. It is considered a better fit for smaller-scale producers.

According to the certification program’s website, the standards are equal to the USDA organic program, if not better, as the program says it does not use the pesticide rotenone as allowed under organic standards. The website states “To be granted the CNG certification, farmers don’t use any synthetic herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, antibiotics, hormones, or genetically modified organisms. CNG livestock are raised mostly on pasture and with space for freedom of movement. Feed must be grown without synthetic inputs or genetically modified seeds.”
